Equus
Ambitious in its aim and triumphant in its achievement was the verdict on Equus, last
term’s joint senior drama production with St Helen’s. Staged in the Amey Theatre, with
the audience seated both on the stage and in the auditorium, Henry Papworth, as Alan
Strang, and Noah Rogers, as Dr Dysart, led the talented cast in a series of searing,
visceral performances over the three-night run. Coached by movement director, OA Matt
Hawksworth, the cast worked long hours all term to produce what director Alison Quick
described as a truly ensemble piece of theatre.
