The 1st VIII enjoyed wins at Nottingham City, Metropolitan and Reading Amateur Regatta. Highlights at National Schools included Silver
for Tom Digby and Adam Teece in Championship Pairs and a first medal for Max Thompson in the Junior 15 Single Sculls. The J16 A
crew picked up their first regatta pot at Bedford. At Henley the 1st VIII were drawn early against a strong St Paul’s crew who went on
to win the event. Five Abingdon boys attended the GB Junior Final Selection trials. Tom Digby and Guy Screaton were selected for
the Junior World Championships in Rio, Max Townley was selected for the Coupe de La Jeunesse and Adam Teece was selected to
represent England at the Home Countries Regatta.
Athletics saw a term of participation by
many with success for a few. Unusually for
the Athletics Club there were no outright
victories but a lot of enjoyment and effort!

Cricket
The 1st XI has played
some excellent cricket
over the season, despite
an early exit from the
National T20 Competition.
The highlight was the last
ball win against local rival
St Edward’s. Undefeated
were U16A, U15B and
the U15C teams. The
Lower School has also
been involved in some
great moments this
season. Special Mention
to Hector Chambers and
James Coombs for their
centuries scored against
Abingdon Prep.
