Community Service
The eagerly anticipated Christmas tea
party for residents of Abingdon capped
a very busy term for the Community
Service volunteers. They have been
visiting five residential homes, Abingdon
Hospital, Older and Bolder and the
Oxfam shop. Boarders have been
involved in many activities, including
creating Christmas cards to send to the
places we visit to bring seasonal cheer.
ISI Inspection
The Independent Schools Inspectorate,
ISI, inspected Abingdon and Abingdon
Prep School during the second week
of November. We hope to receive the
findings from the inspection early in
the New Year. We will of course notify
parents as soon as we are able and
the report will be put on the website at
www.abingdon.org.uk/inspectionCongratulations to third year Jason Ng who gained a distinction in his professional piano
performance diploma, ATCL. This is a remarkable achievement in such a young musician.
Promising Piano Performance
Congratulations also to Bryce Jersing in
the 5th Year who won gold in the U15
Quick March category and bronze in the
U18 category of the 9th Independent
Schools Bagpipe Competition.

hours Mr Rose came out on top but many
congratulations to Ray Ren who put in a very
