Sport Sport plays a central role in the Abingdon journey and is prized far beyond its physical benefits for also helping to develop interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. In addition to our sporting curriculum, students have the chance to take part in a wide range of sporting experiences - all of which seek to inspire, nurture, encourage and challenge our young people. So, whether it’s yoga or waterpolo, squash or volleyball, Karate or croquet, there are plenty of options to instil a life-long love of sport. Participation in sport is valued as much as success, but a significant number of pupils do enjoy achievement at county level or higher in sports such as rowing, fencing, water polo, rugby and shooting.
