Highlights include; Gold in the 4x800m at the Achilles Relays and performances from the intermediate boys 4x100m at both the ESAA Track and Field Cup 1st round and Marlborough Invitational. The camaraderie and support boys showed during training and competitions has been tremendous. A special mention to Thom Denning (800m) and Rowan Miell-Ingram (3000m) who both qualified for the English Schools National Final in Manchester, seen by many as the pinnacle of schoolboy athletics. Kayaking Golf The Abingdon team of Harry Gale, Nick Owen and Finn Leigh took on Radley in the ISGA scratch match play competition. Athletics Swimming The squad reconvened for one final event designed to allow the swimmers a last crack at school records in their age range. Ben MacLennan, Chris Skelton, Nick Skelton, Joe Watkiss and Scott Yap stepped up, ready to give it everything – and records fell like flies! Head over to the website for details. Kayakers enjoyed the lower water conditions on the Thames at Abingdon Weir. The river was at an ideal level for developing whitewater skills.
