abingdon.org.uk/prep 17 AbingdonPrep Sport Sports Day We were delighted to see the sun starting to break through the clouds on an overcast but warm morning as we gathered for our socially distanced Sports Day at Tilsley Park. Our first track event was the 60m hurdles, followed by the Years 7-8 1500m. Meanwhile, off the track the field events were taking place including the cricket ball throw, vortex throw, javelin, shot putt, long jump and high jump. Several school records were broken and there were notable performances from a number of boys including Arthur (Year 4), Con (Year 3), Tom (Year 5), Jamie (Year 6), Toju (Year 6), Conor (Year 7) and Ned (Year 8).
