abingdon.org.uk/prep 11 AbingdonPrep Art Y3 Spin Art Year 3 had lots of fun looking at the work of Damien Hirst and experimented with spinning paint using a salad spinner to gain momentum with super and colourful results. Well done Year 3! Y4 Ancient Greek Battle Shields Year 4 has been exploring Ancient Greek art this term. The boys learnt about shields, patterns and motifs, building them using layers of card in relief. Acrylic paints and their choice of colours denoted their rank in the Greek army, although we think they all looked rather frightening!
