ABINGDON PREP NEWS www.abingdon.org.uk/prep 11 MUSIC The Google Classroom for music is proving very popular with the boys. Pupils upload videos showing the musical progress they have been making. This video shows a selection of pieces that pupils have been learning at home. They include piano and guitar performances, as well as a family trio. Guitar group play on Our Visiting Music Teachers have been busy with our pupils, not only teaching their lessons, but also creating great video collaborations. This video was put together by our guitar teacher, Paul Wisby, and features the guitarists and bass guitarists of the School’s Guitar Group. This is one of their favourite pieces, and shows that not even a world pandemic can stop music at Abingdon Prep. Watch the video The importance of song Singing is a huge part of our music lessons at Abingdon Prep. Throughout our period of remote learning, our pupils have been learning to sing a variety of songs. Our Year 3s and 4s have been focusing on songs about rainbows; a dedication to the NHS and frontline workers through the Covid-19 pandemic. This video was sent in by Reuben in Year 3.
