Silver DofE Eight boys completed their canoeing practice expedition on the River Thames in very challenging conditions. 15 Spanish exchange Abingdon and St Helen’s pupils set out on an adventure to North West Spain to improve their Spanish and experience the different culture. Rugby Tour Argentina and Chile – the senior rugby squad played 4 matches and explored the many cultural sites and experiences, including the tango and gaucho ranching, during their fantastic 18-day tour of South America. Sailing at Cowes The SB20 Abingdon crew faced strong winds at Cowes leading to racing being cancelled on two of the days. Over the course of the week the crew performed well winning the trophy for the first boat in the fleet on the final Saturday. Sicily Classicists embraced a packed itinerary during their visits to Syracuse, Taormina, Morgantina and the Greek temples at Agrigento, Selinus and Segesta.
