Saturday Art workshop A group of Year 7 and 8 artists took part in a clay workshop exploring the work of Modigliani and contemporary artist Chris Keeny. Year 8 explore Normandy Elephant’s Toothpaste The Science Clubs have been busy this term with boys exploring science outside the curriculum as part of their Other Half activities. Years 3 and 4, in their Up and Atom Club, had fun making ‘elephant’s toothpaste’ from hydrogen peroxide, washing up liquid, food colouring and yeast. It made masses and masses of foam which looks just like toothpaste coming out of the tube! (n.b. This experiment needs adult supervision and safety glasses.) Year 5 embraced a full programme of activities at PGL Liddington on their annual residential trip. Adventures at PGL Liddington Abingdon Preparatory School Artists of all abilities enjoyed showcasing their work when the Prep School opened its doors for Oxfordshire Artweeks. Oxfordshire Artweeks Following their exams Year 8 discovered the culture and history of Normandy during a 5-day residential trip. There was also plenty of time for relaxation on the beach and at the theme park. 19
