12 April 2020 AbingdonPrep Pre-Prep In early February, we had grandparents flooding through the doors for the Pre- Prep toys and games afternoon. All of the children delighted in learning about games and pastimes from their grandparents. The hall was filled with excitement, laughter and lots of delicious cake! Grandparents’ Afternoon The Story Machine Reception has explored Tom McLaughlin’s book about a strange machine that he finds in the loft of his house. We had a fabulous week becoming authors of our own books in a similar style, using a computer programme to make each page background, then we have added our own sentences and illustrations each day. Our final exploration took us out on location with the famous typewriter, so that we could be creative with our writing in all sorts of exciting places. We certainly showed what amazing authors and illustrators we are!
