We started the year creating a helicopter from silver coins and were lucky enough to have two paramedics come along. As well as helping to lay the coins, they gave some of our boys a tour around the Air Ambulance response car and its equipment. Abingdon Prep Charities & JPA Thank you ... Another great year of events and fundraising has been and gone. I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone on the JPA committee and all the other helpers who’ve given their time to make this happen. If you have great ideas or time to give, please come and be part of the JPA next year. We are always grateful for help at events, whether on the day or in advance to help plan and set up. Our Year 7 boys took part in a Dragon’s Den style challenge and created their own companies, and as budding entrepreneurs they each turned over a very impressive profit, 100% of which was donated to The Air Ambulance - clearly philanthropic entrepreneurs! The Bake Off competition rounded off our fundraising. Many of the boys were keen to enter and even more keen to buy and taste the cakes. The standard of the baking in the final was extremely high and we had two Star Bakers in each section. Anne Parker Stuart is stepping down as chair of the JPA this year.
